T3 Area Project is one of the major policy to boost the economy, to promote the development of the airport and the surrounding areas. The Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Park Conceptual Plan " is going to lead the Aerotropolis development, and to maximize the benefits and effectiveness of the airport and the surrounding areas. 

According to Professor John Kasarda: “A successful Aerotropolis requires a successful airport which can move growing volumes of passengers and cargo efficiently. Without expanding air connectivity and efficient aeronautical infrastructure, the basic engine that drives the Aerotropolis will sputter."

Based the the above, the three major objectives of this project are ：(1) to accommodate the growth, (2) to improve the level of services, and(3) to develop commercial and cultural center of Aerotroplis. Please see the figure below.
