General Description of the Work
The project shall install Airfield Ground Light (AGL) in the civil construction area of Terminal 3 Aprons and taxiways and connect with the previous project-"Taoyuan International Airport Pavement Renovation and Navigation Facility Upgrade Construction Project" and the interface with Airfield Ground Light System of the "Relocation and New Construction of the WC Taxiway and Dual Taxiways Project".
The taxiway system for the T3 area follows the same concept as the existing Terminals 1 and 2. In the north, the existing taxiways N and P shall be retained and connected to the new aprons. In the south, taxiway S will be retained and taxiway Q will be extended to meet the new taxiway W2. The existing taxiway R shall partly be demolished to allow for the new remote apron. The taxiway system comprising N, P, S and Q will be linked by the new dual taxiways W1 and W2.
Status
This construction was awarded on Sep.6, 2017 and was applied for commencement on Sep.11, 2017; now it is on the Detail Design Phase. However, in order to meet the requirements of TIAC's policy and operation, the AGL installation on P5 taxiway has been carried out in Jan. 2018 as well as Y1 & Y2 Taxiways on Apron G in May 2018 for conducts.
